Sulfur Hexafluoride (SF6) is a colorless, odorless, non-toxic, liquified gas.
Sulfur Hexafluoride (SF6) is used as a gaseous dielectric in high voltage equipment. SF6 has outstanding arc quenching properties and allows for simplified design of switchgear because of size and weight reduction. Other SF6 applications include magnesium and aluminum production and leak testing.
